Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Who we are

Lombada Lodges is a tourist accommodation in Ponta do Sol, on the island of Madeira, operated by Goncalo and Ivone Vieira, tax ID (NIF/NIPC) 212034391, registered office at Estrada Nova da Lombada 438, Ponta do Sol. Establishment registered in the Portuguese National Tourism Register (RNT) under no. 13632.

2. Scope

These terms apply to bookings made directly on the website www.lombadalodges.com. Bookings made through other platforms (for example Airbnb, Booking.com or Our Madeira) are also governed by those platforms' terms.

3. Booking and confirmation

• Bookings are made through the form on the website, which runs on the Smoobu booking system.
• A booking is only confirmed once you have received a confirmation email and, where required, payment has been completed.
• By booking, you declare that you are 18 or older and responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide.

4. Accommodation and occupancy

• Each lodge sleeps 1 or 2 guests. The whole complex (3 lodges) sleeps up to 6 people.
• The maximum occupancy stated in the booking must not be exceeded.
• Pets: not allowed.
• Smoking: not allowed inside the lodges.
• Visitors and parties: parties and events are not allowed. Please respect the neighbours' peace and quiet, especially between 10 pm and 8 am.

5. Prices, taxes and payment

• Prices are in euros and shown in the booking form before you confirm. VAT included.
• Municipal tourist tax, where applicable, in accordance with the regulations of the municipality of Ponta do Sol.
• Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, payment on site or credit card.
• The price includes the final cleaning fee, bed linen and bath towels, pool towels, Wi-Fi and parking.

6. Check-in and check-out

• Check-in from 3:00 pm. Check-out by 11:00 am.
• Check-in is self-service, with a key safe. Codes and instructions are sent before arrival.
• Please tell us your expected arrival time. Arrivals outside normal hours must be arranged in advance.
• We clean after every check-out and, for stays of 7 nights or more, we also provide an intermediate clean.

7. Cancellations and changes

• Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival.
• Between 29 and 8 days before arrival: 20% of the stay.
• Fewer than 8 days before arrival, or no-show: 100% of the stay.
• Requests to change dates are subject to availability and any difference in price.

Cancellations must be requested in writing, by email or WhatsApp.

8. Rules of use and liability

• Guests must look after the accommodation, furniture, garden and shared areas, and are responsible for any damage they cause.
• The pool and shared areas (including the games room and laundry room) are used at each guest's own risk. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult.
• The accommodation is not responsible for personal belongings left in the lodges, shared areas or vehicles.
• We reserve the right to end a stay, without refund, in the event of a serious breach of these rules.

9. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control (for example natural phenomena, fires, road closures or interruption of essential services). In such cases we will try to agree a new date or an equivalent solution with the guest.

10. Complaints

11. Personal data

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the court of the Madeira district, without prejudice to the rights the law grants to consumers.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. A booking is governed by the version in force on the date it was made.
